Khusro sings,
“there is only Light
darkness is a trick of your mind,
an illusion that takes away,
the splendour of your birth right
which is Light, Light, and more Light”
“there is only Light
darkness is a trick of your mind,
an illusion that takes away,
the splendour of your birth right
which is Light, Light, and more Light”
Your mother whispers,
“soften your heart,
drop your shields,
and your swords
there is no danger,
it’s just a trick of your mind.”
Einstein tells us,
“this you versus me,
it’s not real!
we’re all in it together,
a single humanity,
inside the womb of God.
but your illusion robs you of this science.”
Can you hear them?
Amidst the charming tongues.
Will you stand down, surrender?
Or merely shout louder.
Can you kneel before the sun?
Or will you just slither past, swimming among the snakes of pride.
Yes – you know it all:
Darkness and light
But also – freedom and enslavement.
Which do you seek?
Dignity or disgrace.
Virtue or frailty.
Power or subjugation.
Veneration or disdain.
Chose wisely, dear one;
For one masks the other.
